Disk Cleaner’s possibilities (2nd part)
In this post I’ll continue to tell about Disk Cleaner’s possibilities on a disk clean up and some other functions. Today we’ll talk about some more functions of clean up, file- and system management.
The last option in the Cleaners group is Registry clean – the button that’s responsible for Windows Registry clean up. The command works on the same principle as others: to choose Search, to wait search results, to choose necessary buttons for choosing (Select all, Unselect all, Invert all) and to press Delete. As you can see there is nothing to be difficult.
The second group of commands is System. Thanks to them Disk Cleaner can be considered to be a system manager. The first option is Startup manager helping to manage the programs started at Windows start. At the left there are types of commands (for example, Run or Run Once), on the right – the programs. Appointing or removing a tick you can choose the programs you wish to start at Windows start. Besides some commands are intended for automatic control: Run selected, Add new entry, Delete entry and Refresh. For example, the last command moves the programs with removed ticks downwards for presentation. The third command adds a new command etc.
Command Uninstaller is one more option of system management. In the main window of the program there are all programs you can remove. It’s enough to choose one of them and to press Uninstall. Besides Delete option is available to remove trash keys from the program window. Below it is possible to read the detailed information on a trash key – name, version, installation date, publisher and size.
Shortcut doctor command finds and deletes broken shortcuts. The work principle is like options of Cleaners have.
The last group of commands is Files&Folders allowing to use the program as a file manager. File attribute helps to change file and folder attribute. It is enough to choose only necessary file /folder at the left, to allocate on the right and to press Change only folder attribute (Change only file attribute). The option allows to choose 4 types attribute – Read Only, Archive, System and Hidden. Besides, it is possible to choose DateTime – Created, Modified and Accessed. For example, on current. Also Refresh, View and Up are accessible.
File wiper allows to securely wipe file or folder. It is enough to choose some object and to press Delete.
