Directory Size - disk space usage utility
Program Directory Size is a new disk space usage utility from Moleskinsoft team allowing to receive the information of disk space usage, structure of files and folders on the disk, quantity and volume of these or those elements easily and quickly.
The program is created by a structural principle - the window of disk space usage utility includes four sub windows, each of which carries out their function. Let’s see each of these windows and comment them. We’re beginning with the top left window and we’re moving clockwise.
The first window, top left one. In it you need to choose a directory which structure you are going to analyze. To choose a directory press « Scan a folder» in the menu “Scan”, then choose necessary catalogue in a tree of folders. In the program window you will meet the basic maintenance of the chosen catalogue - folders of the different levels which are the part of the analyzed directory.
The second window, top right one. In it you can receive the detailed representation about the necessary folder structure: what folders and files are switched on, their quantity, size, and the share of the size. All these elements can be sorted and also filtered on the demanded filter. Thanks to the menu “Report” it is possible to obtain the structured data satisfying any inquiry. For example, to sort data by extension and owners, to make gradation of sizes and terms etc. The data about the size of files is possible to be presented both in megabytes and kilobytes.
The third window, bottom right one. In this disk space usage utility window you can receive graphic data presentation from the previous window - pies and bars. The window allows choosing a necessary background, a coloring etc.
In the last window, bottom left one, you can receive a specification on the status of your logic disks: the share of the free and occupied disk space.
