Program Directory Size is a powerful and effective hard disk space manager allowing you to receive the detailed information on your hard disk usage status. In the program the structural principle of the work organization is realized. The hard disk space manager interface is divided into four windows each of which performs their part of work. The first window analyzes disk space distribution. The second window shows a tree of folders and a place of the analyzed catalogue in this tree. In the third window the detailed analysis of the maintenance of an analyzed folder is given. In the fourth window visual data distribution from the previous window is presented.
As you see the hard disk space manager interface is designed such a way that as much as possible full to provide its functionality. Thanks to the windows the program is almost completely relieved of menu and tools panels which carry out an auxiliary role. However, let’s talk about them more in detail.
The menu panel has four options - “Scan”, “Kind”, “Report” and “Help”. The first command allows to choose a disk or a folder for scanning, and also to appoint the filter. The filter allows to eliminate results of scanning in extension, size, as well as the file owner.
The command “Kind” can be used for adjustment of the program interface, and also some elements. The command allows to establish type of bytes - for example, the kilobytes or megabytes - which measures the size of files and folders. Besides, in “Kind” you can adjust the kind of the schedule for one of windows (round or rectangular), and also the program windows - for example to clean two bottom windows (showing hard disk space distribution and visualizing directory structure).
“Report” will allow to adjust the kind of represented data - for example, in the form of extensions, owners, gradation of times and sizes. Here it is possible to set the program work. For example, to choose program language.
