Delete music duplicate files
Today we’ll talk about how to remove duplicate music files. It’s not a secret that the duplicate music files are very widespread type of file clones. All of us listen to music we buy or download from Internet. In some cases the hard disk can include tens of thousands of mp3 tracks. Naturally it’s impossible to check the stream of such big number of the songs therefore a lot of tracks are repeated. Sometimes they’re done under different names. As a result instead of one Katy Perry’s song there are two tracks stored in the PC (three, four etc.) There are a lot of such cases. Now let’s present how much the disk space can be occupied with such duplicate files.
However, there is a decision. Program Clone Remover developed by Moleskinsoft offers a powerful tool to search and remove duplicate music files. Thanks to the search mean built in Clone Remover the tool searches identical music files by mp3 tags (for mp3 tracks), names, file size and other properties. As practice shows the probability of correct result is 95 %. Let’s consider the process to search and remove duplicate music files in more details.
The first thing you need to do is to come into the program and to choose «Find duplicate files». In the next window you have to choose option «MP3/OGG/WMA files with similar tags». This option allows to search for duplicate files among musical files with such extensions as MP3, OGG and WMA.
Now you can press “Further”.
Program Clone Remover uses «tree of folders» in which you can choose the folder or the disk you wish to search and then remove duplicate music files in. In our example we’ve chosen disk D. By the way you can also search for duplicate files in archives and network disks. The last ones can be created by means «Connect network drive».
Press again “Further”.

The results of our search are shown below. In our example the program’s found the duplicate files in Music folder. It’s «L.A.Woman» by The Doors.
Choose the founded files. Now they can be deleted. The program deletes the files, moves to the Recycle Bin, moves to other folder or copies. We have chosen «move to the Recycle Bin».
