The program works by a task principle. It means that comparison of folders (directories) is spent within the limits of each chosen task, and there can be the unlimited number of such problems (as well as number of possible pairs). The start of a new task is carried out by means of option File – New task. You can appropriate names to each new task according to your imagination of function and content of compared folders.
Many users can be interested in the structure of an arrangement of material within the limits of compared folders. The images and pictures compare software is visually divided on two parts, in each of which the user can load compared folders (by means of option «Browse»).
Having loaded folders and directories in the program you can pass directly to folder comparison.
For example, you store two big folders Music and Music2 on the computer. You are not assured that these folders are absolutely various and want to check up whether there is no common between them. Load both folders through option «Browse».
After both folders are loaded press «Analyze». The program will give out the results. If you see on the middle between folders green ring you can be assured that the files opposite to which these ring is are identical in both folders. Accordingly, arrows (in right and left direction) specify in file distinction.
In our case circles, for example, stand opposite to files «Rihanna – Umbrella.mp3» and «Katy Perry – I kissed a Girl.mp3». It means that these files are in both folders. These songs can be removed from one of folders.
In other case files don’t coincide. However if you want that the files of one of folders have replaced the files of other folder (all or partially), you need file synchronization. Press on «Sync» and wait for result. By the way, from what folder the files “will pass” to other folder, it’s easy to define – depending on the direction of the arrow which we have received while folder comparison. Naturally that it is the adjusted parameter.
