You want to analyze the size and structure of any directory (for example, My music folder). To do it you’d scan its content using special option «Scan a folder». The results of scanning will appear at once in three windows of the program – top left, top right and bottom right ones. How is the division of information between these three windows in directory organized?
In the top left window you can see common contents of your folder. It includes tree of folders included in the structure of the analyzed directory, as well as their size. Thanks to this window the user can receive preliminary representation about structure of organization of disk space on the directory chosen for analysis that will allow it to estimate is how much optimum disk-folder structure of files on the computer is organized.
In the top right window the user can receive more evident representation about the current situation on the directory chosen for the analysis. In program Directory Size the set of data for the analysis in this window includes detailed structure and the directory contents. These are folders and the files included in the structure of the analyzed directory, their size as in bytes (megabytes, kilobytes, gigabytes), and in percentage. Besides, in this window of the program the user can receive the entire account about distribution of directory of space by such criteria as extension (distribution of files by extension), file owners, gradation of time and sizes.
Also in this window the user can prepare filter using such criteria of filter as extension, size or owner.
In the bottom right window of the disk structure analysis soft the user receives evident representation about structure and file sizes and the folders included in the structure of the analyzed directory. Used format is pies and bars.
