In the last post I’ve told about the appointment of the options connected with duplicate files search. In this post I’ll tell about the options being responsible for duplicate files removal.

EXECUTE FILE. The option starts the duplicate file chosen by you. Eventually should you know what file is going to be deleted :)?

SELECT. It chooses the found files.

SELECT COPIES. It chooses the found duplicate files.

SELECT AUTOMATICALLY. It selects by certain criteria: by creation date (for example, new one), modification date and size (for example, the smallest one). Besides you can filter data on folder containing duplicate files and file type. It allows choosing only the file types you consider to be unnecessary for the removal.

SELECT ALL. The option chooses all the files found by you in a concrete folder.

CLEAR ALL. It removes choosing on all files.

INVERT SELECTION. It carries out opposite actions on the choosing. If you for example have chosen any file this option allows to remove this choosing and to switch it to all other files.

SAVE SEARCH RESULT. Do you remember I spoke about mrs file keeping duplicate files search results? It is created by this option.

DELETE. The option completely deletes the files chosen by you from PC.

MOVE TO THE RECYCLE BIN. It moves the chosen files to the Recycle Bin. Remember that if the Recycle Bin size is less than size of files they are automatically removed.

MOVE. The command will be useful if you want to move files to any folder. Unlike the previous variant you risk by nothing but you don’t solve the problem of disk space clean up from duplicate files, changing only their location.

COPY. The option is similar to the previous but the mechanism is another: not movement but copying.

In this post I’d like to tell you about appointment of various options which you face in the course of work in Clone Remover. We’ll begin one after another from the moment of the program start.

FIND DUPLICATE FILES. The basic button in the first program window. It allows to search duplicate files in the following windows.

OPEN THE LIST OF DUPLICATE FILES. By means of this option it is possible to start a mrs file in which the list of the found clones (if you used Clone Remover earlier) has been kept.

RESTORE FILES MOVED TO A SEPARATE FOLDER EARLIER. If you’ve removed duplicate files in a special folder this option will allow you to move the files in another chosen folder.

SETTINGS. The button in which it is possible to set parameters of the activity in the program – language, work with system tray, animation usage.

BUY NOW. I think it’s clear. If you wish to get access to all possibilities of Clone Remover program you’d press this button.

COMPLETE DUPLICATES (FILES WITH IDENTICAL CONTENTS). It’s a button of search filtration allowing setting search for complete duplicates.

SIMILAR IMAGES. The button works with similar images that differ in resolution or caption.

MP3/OGG/WMA FILES WITH SIMILAR TAGS. The button allows to search duplicate files among musical files (for example, MP3 or WMA) which contain similar information about the track title, artist or album.

FILES WITH SIMILAR NAMES AND SIZE. If you wish to search duplicate files among files with the identical size or the name, this option is for you.

EMPTY FILES (FILES OF ZERO SIZE). I think it is clear. They are not absolutely duplicate files. Simply they are not necessary for you.

FILTER. If you think that you haven’t set all search parameters in the above-named options take advantage of this option for detailed elaboration. The filter by file mask, size, date and attributes is used.

SEARCH ZIP AND RAR ARCHIVES. The option allows carrying out also search in archives.

CONNECT AND DISCONNECT NETWORK DRIVE. The options will allow you to create the network drive on the basis of common network folder and to search duplicate files also in this drive.

A modern computer is a very difficult system for management. The computer is a difficult system filled with a large quantity of files. It is practically unreal to understand all its subtleties as, probably, in human body ones. Clone Remover’s user is interested: “I ran moleskinsoft and it removed several programs and also removed all my itune files, songs and podcasts. They were ent to the Recycle Bin. I went into the recycle bin and hit restore so I would not loose the files. I now cannot find the files and moleskin seems to not be able to find the files either. i did not delete the files because I can find them by searching but the files aren’t the ones molesof wants to return the files to their original locations. I do not know what to do and since I think if I attach my ipod to the computer it will erase all the info on the ipod I don’t know what to do.”

If you haven’t found the deleted files in the Recycle Bin though you’d removed them there it means that the general size of the deleted files has exceeded the Recycle Bin size. Or the Recycle Bin option had been disconnected. It is adjusted in OS Windows option. We regret if it is pertinent in your case.

There is an option «Move» for a safe way of duplicate files removal. With which help you can move duplicates to a separate folder. And if it will be necessary, you will be able to restore them with the help of «Restore files moved to a separate folder earlier». After you’re assured that the folder with duplicates doesn’t contain the necessary files you will be able to remove it yourself.

Concerning your iPod files. It is possible to stop automatic synchronization. For example it is there where it’s written about.

After the synchronization stop you can copy from iPod the files removed by our program.
